native to South African deserts it is widely used as medicinal plant but since it was introduced to western medecine, it is endangered because of  exports caused by pharmacompanies.

growing from seeds:

use cactii soil and cover seeds only about 2mm. Keep moist and at a warm place of 22°C +   until germination starts.

Germinationrate with this species is low!
