REALLY RARE: seeds of Annona edulis
Annona edulis belongs to the family of the Annonaceae. It is native to South America and grows mainly at a low altitude. It is very rare and though not described very well until today.
It grows as a small tree. The leaves are simple, longish and elliptic. The venation is clearly visible. The leaves are glossy.
The fruits are relatively small compared to other Annonaceae. They reach 4 cm in diameter and are yellowish to greenish. They contain a white pulp that surrounds the black seeds. The seeds are 1 cm long and 0,5 cm wide. The fruit can be eaten when it is ripe. The surface looks tubercular.
