The pods belonging to this pepper are large reaching lengths of up to 7 cm and a width of about 4 cm. Unripe pods are green but transform into a bright red once the ripening process sets in.

The unique aroma that accompanies many peppers is absent in 7 Pot Congo SR which only has a fruity flavour. The 7 Pot Congo SR takes between 90 and 100 days before the plant is mature and the pods are ready to be harvested.
