Douglah Billyboy is very hot (1,200,000 Scoville heat units), and one must have a good sense of proportion when using it. Once consumed the pepper is found to have a fruity flavour that’s aromatic and spicy. Douglah Billyboy is a useful condiment in the making of salsas and hot sauces as well as in the preparation of various types of meats. The plant that delivers the fruit takes 120 days to mature during which optimal soil and weather conditions will have to be created to maximise yields.
