The Trinidad Scorpion Peach Chilli Pepper seeds

The Trinidad Scorpion Peach, a pepper native to Trinidad, belongs to the variety of peppers that belong to the Capsicum chinense species. The pepper is now widely cultivated mostly in Mexico, The United States of America, Trinidad and Tobago et al. Like most members of the Trinidad Scorpion strain, the peach variant can be very hot to the taste. The pods belonging to this variant have a lantern shape with a stinger at the end. The stinger has a similar appearance to that of a scorpion hence the name. The length of the pods hovers between 1 and 2 inches. Unripe green pods adopt a peach colour after maturation.

The Trinidad Scorpion Peach isn’t as hot as the red scorpion variety and is therefore ideal for people whose tolerance isn’t sturdy enough for the latter. One should expect a fruity flavour that has plenty of heat on its heels (800,000- 1,000,000 Scoville heat units). The heat quickly picks up and overwhelms the fruity sweetness. Trinidad Scorpion Peach is ideal for heating up pickles and making hot sauces. High yields are achievable with the Trinidad Scorpion Peach provided one creates optimal conditions for growth, i.e. fertile soils with good drainage, plenty of sunshine, minimal frost et al. It takes between 90 and 130 days before harvesting can be done.
